Bring the real vehicle-key set to the comparison
A car-key bundle can contain a remote, a metal key, a key ring and identification tags. Evaluate the complete set that will be handed over, including protective covers or attachments that normally remain on the remote. Check whether the bundle can be placed and removed without being forced into position. This is more useful than comparing the outside of a key box with a photograph of one remote.
Look at usable space and access together
During a sample review, consider compartment access as well as the space occupied by the contents. Check the opening path, finger access and the position of a bulky remote when the box closes. Keep the items used in the fit comparison recorded with the sample reference. Two key sets with the same number of pieces can have different shapes, so a simple key count does not fully describe the requirement.
Keep placement separate from product appearance
Specify where and how the box is intended to be used in the purchasing brief. A closed front photograph helps identify the CH-817 body, but the placement decision needs the relevant mounting and operating information. Review the actual sample against the intended location before finalizing it. Where a wall-mounted format is specifically needed, compare the CH-846 key box as a separate model choice.
Define the handover requirement
Decide which people need the operating information and how the model reference will remain attached to the product. For a vehicle-key handover process, distinguish the physical storage requirement from administrative arrangements such as who releases a code or records a return. Keep the sample’s own operating instructions with the product. Procedures for another combination box should not be assumed to apply to the CH-817.
Specify the unit and the pack
Use the pictured black and gray CH-817 as the reference when describing the desired appearance. State the quantity, packing arrangement and any artwork or identification requirement separately. Include any accessories that the order must contain as individual line items. A key fob used during evaluation belongs to the fit check and is not automatically an item supplied with the box. The key-storage range helps distinguish other formats.
Prepare the procurement record
Keep the CH-817 model, selected sample, representative key bundle, destination market and order requirements together. Add any material, dimensional or documentation criteria that must appear on the quotation. An identifiable configuration makes later product and packing comparisons more straightforward.
